Marital & Relationship Education Programs Help Keep Couples Together

Studies on the effectiveness of Prep find that couples that have participated in PREP are less likely to get divorced and have significantly higher levels of marital satisfaction. One long-term study on PREP found that couples who took the program before marriage had less negative interaction, more positive interaction, lower rates of relationship aggression, lower combined rates of breakup or divorce and higher levels of relationship satisfaction up to five years following the training.


Parenting Classes are designed to enhance skills of parenting in the areas of establishing an appropriate parenting plan and setting healthy rules and boundaries.

Co-parents typically are in a situation where the parents are not in a marriage, cohabitation or romantic relationship with one another. The purpose of maintaining this long-term, formal or informal, agreement or plan to help provide the necessary support and resources to meet the needs of minor children they share.

The purpose of our life skills is to enhance teens and all other family member’s capacity to be self-sufficient. Workshops are provided in the following areas:

  • Enhancing Communication Skills
  • Breast Feeding
  • Children of divorce
  • Child Abuse
  • Domestic Violence
  • Transitional Housing
  • Job Placement Assistance
  • GED & Career Exploration
  • Sober living ( Path to Wellness)


The Youth Wellness & Family Education Center’s programs are designed to address the needs of diverse underserved family groups through Supervised Family Conflict Resolution.
