The goal of supervised visitation services is to observe and objectively document interactions between a child and their noncustodial parent. Courts may order supervised visitation to reduce conflict between custodial and noncustodial parents, support the development of practical parenting skills, help rebuild a healthy parent–child relationship, and ensure the child's safety by preventing abuse.
