Parenting Classes are designed to strengthen parenting skills, including developing appropriate parenting plans and establishing healthy rules and boundaries. Effective parenting teaches children right from wrong, and these lessons are best learned through example—not by the message "do as I say, not as I do."
This approach is known as modeling behavior. Parents are a child's first and most influential example of how the world works, and children learn from everything in their environment.
That includes the good, the bad, and the challenging.
When parents are open and honest about their mistakes, children learn that making mistakes is a natural part of life. While parenting is never perfect, consistently practicing positive discipline, supporting healthy child development, managing stress effectively, and following established parenting plans helps parents raise children who are cooperative, considerate, productive, socially responsible, and capable of financial independence.
